Here's some pictures that are a couple weeks old.....
Susanna playing peek-a-boo with the rug......good thing it had just been cleaned!
Addy had to get her picture taken too......and baby #3 got to get in on it too ;-).
The start of the cranberries. Jake dug out 8 inches deep and piled it along the sides to make the berm. Then he hauled 22 wheel barrow loads of dirt to beef it up a little more. The berm is there to hold in water to freeze and protect the cranberries over the winter from freezing.
Then he put plastic and landscape fabric on the berm to keep out the weeds, since he can't mow that. After that he filled it with peat moss. In this picture he is sprinkling fertilizer on the peat moss. He mixed in the fertilizer and soaked down the peat moss.
Josh and Christine came two weekends ago for a quick visit. It was nice to see them and the kids since we haven't seen them since January. In this picture Jeremiah and Susanna are playing together.
Johnny sliding, Lu Lu playing with the grass/sand and Addy running some where.....
The two little ones got to join in on the sandbox fun.....that is until Jeremiah started eating it :-).
We had the older kids eat at the little table for meals. They look so old and grown up.
Jake took a picture of an Oriole bird in our tree. It was though a window with a screen so it didn't turn out the best.
Jared and Stacie also came that weekend. We are excited for their wedding in a couple of weeks!
Jared and Addy.
Miss curly cues.....as I like to call her.
Memorial Day Weekend.......
For the weekend we went to my grandma's to visit and help her out with some things. Saturday morning started out gloomy but it mostly cleared by after lunch. Jake helped with various things and we both cleaned out all the dead raspberry canes from my grandma's raspberries. They looked so nice once we got done with them! Addy had a lot of fun playing with my cousins and Susanna enjoyed the attention also.
Addy and my cousins seeing what kind of trouble they could get into ;-).
The three to the right were throwing rocks and sticks into the ditch full of water for Oakie to retrieve.
Oakie has never been one to just leap into the water.....but he was this past weekend. We think we should bring him to the lake and see if he will swim so Jake can take him hunting.
Joseph had found another big stick to throw to Oakie.
Susanna playing in the dirt while Jake and I worked on the raspberries.
I think she is contemplating eating it.....she never did though.
Saturday was my Grandma's birthday.
For her birthday we (her children and grandchildren) gave her a spiritual bouquet of prayers. It is where everyone picks certain prayers (of their choice) to pray for that particular person.
On Sunday we went to visit my Grandpa's grave site to see the cross my cousin's fiance had made and to put some flowers next to his grave in honor of Memorial Day.
After lunch on Sunday I let Susanna sit in the chair Addy had been sitting in all weekend. She thought she was pretty cute.....
On our way home on Sunday we saw some ducks, and tried to get some good pictures. This is a pintail duck. I tried taking it through the car window going 55 mph which made it not turn out the best.
I zoomed in on a couple other ones that Jake took.
Well, we finished planting the garden.....yay!!! Now on to mulching the garden, weeding the garden/strawberries/raspberries/asparagus, and putting in the irrigation system. All things that are not so easy for this 30 week pregnant lady....oh well, guess we will manage like we always do! :-)
