Lots of Visitors

Two weeks ago from tomorrow I took Addy to my parents and we stayed for a couple days. Jake was in Bismarck for the week and I had a doctors appointment in Fargo anyways. We had fun seeing my parents and it was nice to not have to spend so many nights alone at our house. We came home Thursday, Jake came home on Friday, and Katie and Thomas came Friday night to spend the weekend with us. Katie and I worked on making the jewelry for her wedding. We made good progress and everything looks very beautiful. Thomas helped Jake with some things, especially building a work bench for his table saw. We had our FIRST campfire ever at our house that Saturday. Jake had just dug a fire pit a couple days earlier. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs.....it was fun! We had a lot of fun and were happy they could visit. On our way home from church we saw geese everywhere in the fields, below are some pictures.

Some in the sky and a line of them in the field.

A big flock was just taking off.

The field was covered in geese.

All the dark spots in the sky were geese and flocks of geese.

More geese in the sky.

Last week, Jake thought it would be fun if Addy and him practiced for a three legged race (none are scheduled as far as I know ;-). Addy did very good, she didn't fall once.

Addy was holding on to Jake's leg.

Last Wednesday, Addy and I went to Fargo to see my sister Mandie and her daughter Sophia. They had come to visit for the week. It was so nice to see them since the last time we saw them was New Year's weekend. Sophia and Addy had a fun time playing together.....sometimes sharing the toys nicely and sometimes not ;-). I was so glad we could go and see them for the day.

Thursday, was my doctor's appointment. She said I am 3 centimeters dilated and 90% effaced. Progress......I like it! Jake came with for the appointment so he was able to meet my new doctor and hear the baby's heart beat. After the appointment we went to Menards to order the supplies for our two building projects. It took a long time (an hour and a half!), but afterwards Jake treated his weary girls to some supper before heading for home. We were going to have them deliver the stuff on Saturday but it ended up working out for them to come on Friday. There was some plastic wrap on one of the palates, after Jake got it all off he let Addy play with it in the yard. As you can see she was having a blast......

Trying to get it unstuck from the tires of the truck.

Opps.....she got tangled up in it.

Wearing it like a dress.

Pulling it up the driveway.

Little cutie :-)

Saturday, my parents, Mandie, Sophia, Jason, and his girlfriend Andrea came to our place to visit. Jason and Dad helped Jake move all of the lumber and plywood (that was delivered the day before) into one of our sheds. Sophia was having so much fun playing outside with Addy and her toys. It was such a gorgeous day that I had to pull out a tank top. Hopefully this lovely weather lasts and doesn't turn back in to winter :-(. That night after everyone left Jake and I had a campfire, just the two of us. It was very romantic.

Sunday, Roger and Sue stopped by on their way back to Minnesota. They wanted to see how the prego lady (me) was progressing and try on the dress that Sue and Kristina made for Addy for Katie's wedding. The dress was a little short :-/, but there might be some ways to alter it. They brought Addy a wooden high chair that Grandpa and Grandma Hayes had sent for her. She loved it from the moment she saw it. She loves playing with it and pretending to feed her babies. It was so windy that it made it not enjoyable to be outside. Jake and I spent the afternoon cleaning out our closet and getting rid of unneeded things. It looks amazing now! That was one nice thing to get done before the baby comes.

Addy feeding her doll in the highchair.

Feeding the baby a bottle. It's cute, she even makes eating noises/sounds while she is feeding her dolls.
