On Thursday, Grandpa and Grandma Hayes came to spend the night before heading to Josh and Christine's the next morning. It was a sweltering hot day. We had to have both ceiling fans going to get relief. Jake and Grandpa put the window air conditioner in our room so it would be cool for Grandpa and Grandma to sleep. Jake went to work a little later so we could have coffee and breakfast all together. We were so glad they could stay and enjoyed the time we spent with them.

On Friday we went to Josh and Christine's. We had fun doing multiple things: camp fires, slip-n-slid, running through the sprinkler, soft ball games, kick ball games, fireworks, taking naps :-), visiting, and enjoying lots of good food. Here are a couple of pictures:

Having fun is hard work.....Jake and I decided to take an afternoon snooze. While we were sleeping someone decided to take random pictures on our camera. The next three pictures might show clues to the culprit........

When we got home on Monday we finally opened Addy's Christmas present from us. Jake thought it was cool that he could get the horse and the duck to stick to his cheeks......
....Addy didn't. She wanted them for herself.
Addy can now pull herself up on to anything and everything. She was starting to last week, but as the weekend progressed she got better and better at it. I think she will be walking sooner than later. She has almost completely transitioned from baby food to table food. There are still some things she will not eat such as bread!
Nothing new with the garden. It continues to grow and look good. Two of our cucumber plants were snapped off at the stem, we think it was cut worms. Now all there is to do is water and weed until stuff is ready to pick.
