Weekend at Josh and Christine's

This past weekend we went to Josh and Christine's to work on some projects. Jake and Josh have been working on Christmas presents for Christine, Sue and I. This weekend they also started making Addy and Johnny's Christmas presents, rocking horses. The children are going to love their presents. The girls worked on flowers for Katie's wedding. We got all the bridesmaid bouquets done! It was a very cold weekend so we stayed inside and the children had fun playing with each other.

Josiah reading a book to Addy.

The start of the bouquets, figuring out how Katie wants them to look. Zoe, one of Katie's friends from college, also came for the weekend. It was nice to get to know her (especially since she is a distant relative of mine). Addy was attached to her from the moment they met. Whenever Addy would see Zoe she wanted her to hold her.

Piles of the different flowers.

Katie arranging the first bouquet.

The bouquets almost done.

Close up.....they turned out very pretty!

Addy and Olue playing in the cupboard (it's okay this cupboard is meant for the kids to play in :-).

Addy being silly behind Auntie Katie while she is trying to braid Kristina's hair.

Addy attacking daddy.

Having fun on the couch.

First Step!
Addy officially took her first step Sunday night! She had taken a step when my parents were here but fell down after she took the step because she had books in her hand. Sunday, Jake and I were sitting on the couch and Addy was playing. She was standing next to her walker with a blanket in her hand. All of a sudden she started to take a step. After she accomplished the step she thought about sitting (went down to a squat) but came back up to a standing position. Then she thought about taking another step but finally just sat down. This past weekend she did so good walking around with someone holding only one of her hands. We think she was watching Johnny run around and wanted to be like him. It could be any day now. I am ready for it and not at the same time.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
