We spent last Tuesday to Sunday in Minnesota at a lake cabin celebrating Grandpa and Grandma Hayes' 50th Wedding Anniversary. Instead of having a huge party they decided to have a quiet and relaxing week/weekend with just their immediate family. This included their 4 children, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and their children/grandchildren's spouses. Here are some pictures from our vacation...

Addy's first time in the lake. She didn't know what to think about it at first because the water was cooler than the swimming pool she was just in. She ended up having a lot of fun.
Grandma and Grandpa Loegering gave Addy her birthday present two months early in hopes that she could use it now.

Grandma and Grandpa got a photo book of the first 50 years of marriage from the family. Sue and Kristina made it, it was really neat.

Starting with the youngest child on up, they got to pick which adult they wanted on their team. It was a lot of fun. Josh and Kristina won the tournament.
Jake and I went snorkeling.......it was neat to watch things swim around and to move really fast with the flippers. We would like to go scuba diving together sometime.

Cauliflower that we picked when we got home Sunday night. Kristina helped us blanch it all that night, it would not have fit in the fridge.

We brought Kristina back with us to spend a week at our house. We were sad to leave everyone after the long time of being together, but we are happy she could come to stay. We have already (sadly) put her to work picking veggies, blanching, baking and weeding. Today will be a fun day........her and I are going shopping for quilting/curtain material. Something we get really excited about!
