Jake's duck from two weeks ago.
Addy is so cute in this picture.
Two weekends ago we went to my parents. Dad took the lens' out of a pair of his reading glasses so Addy could wear them when he reads her books.
ADORABLE! She looks like my dad :-).
Last week Thursday we went scouting for ducks. There were ducks EVERY WHERE!! Too bad the ponds all froze over Saturday morning when he and my brother went hunting....no luck for them then :-(
Jake took these pictures of the wing and head to see if his brother Josh knew what it was. I think he figured it out later that night. Very pretty wing.
Yesterday was snowy and cold. We had gone to Mass Saturday night not knowing that it was going to snow as much as it did and that the roads were going to be awful on Sunday. Sure glad we did though and were able to enjoy the snow day without having to venture out. Jake had lots of projects planned for outside. One big one was tilling the garden again. Well, it was too wet and snowy to do much so we had to figure out something else to do....so we carved pumpkins! I haven't carved pumpkins since high school! It was fun and Addy got to help. What better way to spend some of your Sunday :-).
Addy helping clean out the seeds and "guts."
Jake cutting the tops off.
I was starting to draw the design for the carving.....I ended up carving them too.
Thinking....oh what to do!
Starting to carve...(don't mind the hair...got some pretty good bed head going on :-/.
We decided (mostly Jake's idea) that we should do angels for All Saints Day instead of scary faces for Halloween. The problem was figuring out how to carve them. As you can see this one was my first. The parts holding it all together got a little weak so I had to toothpick them together....didn't think glue would work.
This one was a little better.
Both together.
Susanna woke up...and she was happy so Jake was playing with her. She is getting her FIRST two teeth in. Very exciting! But not fun having a cranky baby. They are both on the bottom. She doesn't take the best of naps because of it but thankfully is sleeping awesome at night!
The girls and I with the pumpkins.
